Their community alert names the neighborhood specifically. It runs since 2021. The LAPD Robbery-Homicide Follow-Home Task Force has identified at least seventeen organized crews working the Westside HNW corridor in that window.
And then the alert says this, in the department's own words:
*"Residence may be a greater target if there is a lack of video surveillance, alarm system/active security guard on patrol."*
That is the Los Angeles Police Department, in an official communication to Westside residents, telling you that active security guard patrol is part of the recommended defense framework. Not a security company saying it. The department saying it.
The pattern is not abstract. In February 2025, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's Bel Air home was burglarized — bordering Holmby Hills on the north. In November 2025, Kathy Hilton's Bel Air home was hit while she was at a public event in Las Vegas — the intruders came in through a kitchen window and ransacked the property. In December 2025, another Bel Air attempt required LAPD to escort a baby and a second child out to their parents. Holmby Hills sits inside the same corridor. The crews do not respect neighborhood lines drawn on a map.
