The alert identified 2-to-4-person crews of masked, gloved males working coordinated burglaries across Pacific Palisades, the Riviera, Brentwood, Westwood Hills, Bel Air, Bel Air Crest, Beverly Glen, Benedict Canyon, Holmby Hills, and Beverlywood. The crews use ladders, exterior drain pipes, and second-story balcony access. They use rental vehicles with paper plates or freshly stolen plates. Some have been documented using drones for pre-incident surveillance.
The alert contains a specific line that every Bel Air homeowner should read carefully:
"Residence may be a greater target if there is a lack of video surveillance, alarm system/active security guard on patrol."
